Choices of Activities

At Pleasant View, you can choose from a variety of activities, filling your schedule with programs that appeal to you as well as enjoying quiet times in the library or craft areas.

We understand the importance of maintaining an active and productive lifestyle. No matter what the season, there's always a reason to get together for an activity, project or special event!

Each month, residents of the Town Square and Terrace Gardens receive a monthly newsletter and calendar filled with a mix of opportunities to accommodate a variety of interests...some entertainment, some food related, some with physical activity, and others to encourage learning new skills or information.

A calendar review might include...

A year long theme series "Relive the Decades."

1900-1909, featuring a special dinner in the Stiegel Dining Room, decorated for the evening as a Victorian Conservatory with candle-lit tables, hanging plants, clusters of trees, and garden chairs. The Movie Night selection was The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, an award winning film set in the period.

1920-1929, featuring a Speakeasy dinner for the Roaring 20's...complete with flappers and a flivver parked outside.

Concerts by our own resident music groups, the Pleasant Singers, a ladies ensemble, or the Pleasant View Chorus, with music for the season or planned around a theme.

The Auxiliary-sponsored Chicken Bar-B-Que, with an Antique Auto and Farm Equipment Exhibit, an all-community, annual event in May.

The Benefit Auction for the Benevolent Care Endowment Fund, with beautiful theme baskets assembled and contributed by resident activity groups, friends of Pleasant View and staff assuring the success of the day.

Dancing to The Society Band at "Star Light,Star Bright", our second annual Seniors Prom, with residents from other communities included in the fun.
