Personal Care Openings Available

When everyday tasks become difficult to handle, Personal Care offered in the Terrace Gardens section of Pleasant View is the answer.  Our goal is to offer a community in which residents lead a full, enriching and enjoyable life. We offer a worry-free lifestyle with supportive care and services that include medication reminders, assistance with dressing and grooming, meals from a varied menu served in the dining room and 24-hour security that will give residents and those who care about them peace of mind.
In January, 2011, Pennsylvania changed the definition of Assisted Living. Learn about the differences between Assisted Living and Personal Care here.
Personal Care here at Pleasant View features:
Spacious private rooms
Ample closet space
Large private baths
Laundry service
The easy life leaves time for fun. Borrow books from the county library’s bookmobile, attend Bible study, listen to voices soar in concert, participate in cooking demonstrations, or sign up for the trivia team. Join the daily exercise classes in the Town Square Health Club and use the fitness center and pool. We also feature beautiful lounges where family and friends are always welcome.
If memory loss or early symptoms of dementia create a safety hazard, choose the safe haven of Terrace Gardens' structured living neighborhood. This self-contained, secure unit features private rooms, comfortable lounges and outdoor courtyard. All meals are served in the unit’s private dining room.
For information or to request a tour, please contact Vicky Jenkins.
Personal Care is fee-for-service based on a daily rate. Pleasant View does not offer subsidized housing.

Spring Message from our CEO

colleenWith the mild winter, construction efforts plowed forward without plowing snow.  Exciting times.  We are under roof, windows are in place and its looking like the new HealthCare Center sketched by the architects.  The four neighborhoods are built with the focus of creating comfortable environments that facilitate excellent nursing care and rehabilitation services.  We are delivering quality care in our existing space and anticipate the enhancements that are just a few months away.  As we prepare the new physical space, we continue to deliver the resident centered care model; where the needs of the residents come first and are satisfied in an environment of trust and collaboration.

We at PVRC value employees as much as we value residents.  In January, we launched an employee energy and purpose program, Pay It Forward.  It is a recognition effort, without tangible rewards.  Altruistically, employees doing the right thing in harmony with the Core Values are acknowledged.  Crossing departments, peer to peer, Pay It Forward is recognizing ones efforts and looking for the next person to recognize.  We challenge our employees to emulate the Founders guiding values and the PVRC Core Values of Excellence-Dignity-Integrity-Teamwork-Security-Ministry.   As employees enjoy their work and their interaction with coworkers and with residents, they are striving to be their personal best.  This self-satisfaction is contagious.

We exist for residents on our campus, but we also have a strong commitment to the greater community at large.  On Saturday, April 28, 2012, PVRC will host the Manheim Public Library’s Storybook Character Carnival.  Then on Saturday May 5, 2012, PVRC celebrates spring with the 4th annual Penn Twp. PVRC Community Day.  Starting at 8 a.m. with the 5 K Run-Walk, we are delighted to share our wonderful campus.  I look forward to interacting with many of you during these festivities and the many others held here on the PVRC campus.
