Understanding Dementia with Loy Campbell

Loy Campbell, a PAC Consultant of Certification Programs, has always enjoyed spending time with older adults, having grown up with all four of her grandparents living nearby in her hometown of Blacksburg, Virginia. She is a graduate of the University of Mary Washington where she majored in sociology. She then moved to California and worked for several years at an assisted living facility engaging residents with dementia in one-on-one meaningful activities. Loy earned her master’s degree in occupational therapy from San Jose State University before moving back east. She now lives in North Carolina and works as an occupational therapist in several settings, including a home health role of educating and training caregivers for dementia care.
